The Best Free Antivirus Programs
For anyone who has a windows based PC you know what a hassle it can be when your computer gets a virus. It is a dangerous world for computers and you need something to keep your computer safe. That is where antivirus programs come into play. There are many different antivirus programs out there, so many that it is enough to get your head spinning. Being a technologically savvy person I have experimented out with a large number of programs and have found that some of the free products are as good if not better than ones you might have to pay for. Now without further ado I will give you my top 3.
Coming in at number 1 is: avast!
Avast is my top choice for antivirus protection because it offers many features that cater to a more advanced computer user such as myself. One of my favorite features is being able to do a scan on startup to catch and pesky viruses and stop them before they can get to work when my computer starts. Another feature that I like is that it verbally informs you of important issues such as, a virus being detected or that the updates are completed. All in all it is an excellent product.
At number 2 we have: AntiVir
This product I enjoy for its simplicity and effectiveness. The AntiVir program runs quietly in the background the majority of the time and carries out its duties of protecting your computer without bothering most of the time. It has a very streamlined design that is easy to use.
And rounding it out at number 3 is: AVG
Now this was a close race between AVG and AntiVir both are well suited to the everyday computer user. The only reason that I ranked AntiVir higher is I found it to be slightly more effective then AVG.
I would recommend all three of these for everyone to try and I am sure you would like any of them. Remember all of them are 100% free and automatically updated, just download and install. Each of them do offer upgraded versions that you have to pay for, but they are unnecessary in my opinion. Stick with the free versions and you’ll be just fine.
